Certain brands of circuit breakers tend to be more sensitive than others. In unusual applications with sensitive circuit breakers at the electrical panel, the initial milliseconds of in-rush current drawn by a lighting transformer can cause periodic accidental tripping of the circuit breaker. A similar situation can occur with certain types of ground fault interrupters (GFIs).To provide an easy field-installed solution to these situations, we developed the FIS-150 snubber board. When added to any Vista transformer, this unit effectively dampens the initial inrush surge, helping to eliminate triggering of sensitive breakers. This "soft on" feature has an added benefit of prolonging the life of the lamps on the transformer's circuits. The FIS-150 can be connected to any Vista transformer, and is commonly used with 600 watt and 900 watt models. The unit is supplied in its own weather-proof stainless steel enclosure. It wires to the transformer's accessory terminal strip via power in/ power out wire leads that can be routed through any ½" knockout. Complete installation and wiring instructions are provided with the unit.
